Frequently Asked Questions About Certifications and Test Reports

Understand how to review certificate holders, document scope, validity and project-specific compliance requirements when sourcing custom garment accessories.

Documents may be issued to Jiewei, a material supplier or a third-party-tested product or material, depending on the document. The certificate holder, issuing organization, applicable scope and validity period should be reviewed for each document. A supplier certificate should not be interpreted as a factory-level certification held directly by Jiewei.

Coverage varies by certificate or test report. Buyers should review the material description, product scope, product class, applicable test standard and validity period shown in the document. A certificate or report should not be applied to materials or products outside its stated scope.

Not necessarily. A supplier certificate generally applies only to the specified material or product within its documented scope. Additional components, processing methods or finished accessories may require separate review or testing depending on the project and buyer requirements.

Where an official verification service is available, buyers can enter the certificate or label number on the issuing organization’s website. The certificate holder, applicable product scope, current status and expiration date should match the document provided. If a certificate cannot be verified online, the issuing organization should be contacted for confirmation.

Yes. Please provide the product type, material, intended application, destination market and required standard or buyer protocol. Available supplier certificates or third-party test reports may then be reviewed for relevance. Any additional testing requirements are subject to confirmation based on the selected material, product specifications and applicable standard.
