Custom Leather Labels Developed for Your Products

Develop branded labels and patches from artwork and sampling through to confirmed bulk specifications.

Custom leather labels and custom leather patches are branded trims for clothing, denim, hats, bags, footwear and other products made of textile. The trim bears a logo, a brand name orother decorations.

Jiewei is a custom leather label manufacturer and supplier supporting OEM and ODM development for fashion brands, garment manufacturers and apparel wholesalers. With in-house production workshops and automatic punching equipment, we develop custom labels from artwork, sketches or reference samples and coordinate sampling, bulk production and packaging around the confirmed specifications.

Available options include genuine leather, PU leather, microfiber leather and washable paper. Metal labels and silicone rubber labels are also available for products requiring different material, flexibility and branding effects. Size, shape and color can be customized, with logo techniques including embossing, debossing, laser engraving, printing and foil stamping.

Attachment and surface finish can be customized according to the construction and appearance of the finished product. In addition to sewing, adhesive backing and heat transfer, selected leather label designs can be combined with garment metal rivets for fastening or decorative detailing. Matte or gloss surface effects are available according to the selected material and design. For a more dimensional branding effect, leather labels can also be developed with custom metal labels to combine leather texture with metal logo detailing.

How to Choose the Right Material for Custom Leather Labels

Choosing a material should begin with the finished product, its expected care conditions and the branding effect you want to achieve. Buyers should consider appearance, flexibility, surface consistency, logo definition, attachment method and how the label will respond to washing, moisture and daily wear.

Confirm the Material Before Bulk Production

Before placing a bulk order for custom leather labels, review a physical sample on the actual garment or product. The sample evaluation should cover:

This comparison provides general material guidance. Actual appearance, flexibility, durability, wash performance and attachment compatibility depend on the selected grade, thickness, finish and backing construction. Physical samples and application-specific testing are recommended before bulk production.

Genuine leather labels are suitable when natural grain, individual variation and a heritage appearance are part of the product design. Depending on the leather type and finish, the surface may gradually develop a natural patina. The leather grade, tanning method, thickness and surface finish should be confirmed before production.

PU leather labels are better suited to projects that prioritize uniform colors, consistent surfaces and flexible customization across bulk orders. Because PU quality varies, the selected grade should match the expected product life, washing conditions and storage environment. Hydrolysis resistance should be confirmed when heat, humidity or repeated washing is expected.

Microfiber leather labels provide a structured synthetic alternative with a soft hand feel, low weight and a consistent surface. They can be used when repeat-order consistency is important, although actual durability and wash performance depend on the selected material grade.

Jacron labels offer a different design direction rather than simply imitating leather. Their matte paper texture can become softer and develop wrinkles through handling or washing, making them suitable for denim, casual apparel, knitwear and bags with a natural or intentionally aged appearance.

Metal labels create a typically rigid and highly visible branding detail. Options such as engraving, plating, cut-out designs and enamel filling make them suitable for bags, footwear, outerwear and fashion accessories where the label functions as a prominent decorative element.

Silicone rubber labels provide a soft, flexible and tactile alternative. Raised, recessed and multicolor molded designs can create a modern dimensional logo effect for sportswear, outdoor apparel, workwear, hats and bags. Finished-label performance still depends on the pigment, thickness, backing and attachment method.

The appropriate specification depends on the label placement, product material, desired logo effect, expected washing or wear conditions and attachment method.

Custom Leather Labels FAQs

Find clear answers about materials, washability, logo techniques, attachment options, pricing factors, MOQ, artwork, sampling, production lead times and testing before placing your order.

Available materials include genuine leather, top-grain leather, PU leather, microfiber leather, washable paper and silicone rubber. The appropriate material depends on the desired appearance, wash-care requirements, product application and budget. Material color, thickness and finish should be confirmed during sampling.

Washability depends on the material, logo process, attachment method and garment-care conditions. Genuine leather generally requires more careful wash handling, while PU leather, microfiber leather, washable paper and silicone rubber may be more suitable for products that require regular washing. Please provide the intended washing method and temperature so we can recommend a suitable material and arrange sample evaluation where necessary.

Available logo techniques include embossing, debossing, laser engraving, printing and foil stamping. Embossing and debossing create a tactile effect, laser engraving is suitable for precise details, printing supports additional color options and foil stamping adds a metallic finish. The recommended technique depends on the material, logo detail, required color effect and intended application.

Available attachment options include sewing, adhesive backing and heat transfer. Sewing is generally the most secure option for long-term garment use. Adhesive backing can be considered for suitable surfaces or positioning requirements, while heat transfer provides a no-sew application when the label and garment material are compatible with the required temperature and pressure. The attachment method should be confirmed during sampling.

Pricing depends on the material, label size, shape, logo technique, number of colors, design complexity, attachment method, order quantity, packaging and testing requirements. Providing complete specifications and artwork allows us to prepare a more accurate quotation.

The usual MOQ is 300–500 pieces per color, depending on the material, size, design and product specifications. The applicable MOQ will be confirmed after we review your artwork and customization requirements.

Vector artwork is preferred because it preserves clean lines and accurate logo details at different sizes. If vector artwork is unavailable, please send the clearest high-resolution logo image, technical drawing or reference image you have. We will review the artwork and confirm whether any adjustment or redrawing is required before sampling.

Yes. A physical sample can be arranged before bulk production. It allows you to review the material, color, dimensions, logo effect, attachment method and overall appearance. Bulk production begins after the sample and final specifications are approved. Sampling costs and the estimated schedule will be confirmed after the project details are reviewed.

Bulk production usually takes 10–20 working days after sample approval. The final lead time depends on the material, design complexity, order quantity and packaging requirements. The confirmed production schedule will be included with the quotation or order confirmation.

Project-specific material or product testing can be reviewed according to the selected material, intended application, destination market and required standard. OEKO-TEX® testing is available upon request. The applicable test scope, tested product or material, report holder, cost and lead time must be confirmed before production. A supplier or material report should not be interpreted as certification of every finished leather label.
