Zinc alloy is commonly used for die-cast buttons that require sculpted profiles, defined logo relief or detailed surface textures. For custom development, specify the button type, diameter, thickness, attachment structure, artwork and required finish. The alloy grade, die-cast blank, edges, surface detail, attachment fit and finished appearance should be reviewed during sample development.
Gold, silver, gunmetal and antique brass describe surface appearances rather than the zinc alloy itself. The required base material and finish should therefore be specified separately.

Brass is commonly used for stamped or formed button faces and for components in multi-part garment fasteners. For custom development, confirm the button type, cap or face diameter, material thickness, attachment component, logo detail and finish. For jeans and snap buttons, the material and dimensions of the tack, shank, post or other matching parts should also be specified and checked on the intended garment sample.
Natural brass, plated brass and an antique-brass finish are not interchangeable specifications. Because brass composition and surface treatment can affect colour and appearance over time, the required material, finish and finished-sample standard should be defined before bulk production.
